WHO WE ARE

We are AIIP (Italian Association of Internet Providers), Italy’s first and historic association of independent Internet and telecommunications operators, established in 1995.

We represent more than 60 companies that build real networks, bring fibre connectivity to homes and businesses, and provide sovereign cloud services across Italy.

For 30 years, we have fought for an open, competitive and innovation-driven digital ecosystem in Europe.

Today we are raising the alarm: the Digital Networks Act (DNA) is not a reform. It is an attempt to kill all this.

Behind empty promises of “simplification” and “investment,” the DNA is a coordinated attack on:

  • pluralism and competition
  • national control of telecommunications
  • affordable Internet access for citizens and businesses
  • net neutrality and open Internet principles

If we stay silent now, Europe’s Internet will soon be controlled by a handful of politically-connected financial groups.

This is why we fight. This is why this campaign exists.
We stand for an open Internet. We stand for democracy. We stand against the DNA.
